After coming up short of their recent road swing, Nicholls returns to Stopher Gym where it has yet to be defeated this season. Following a 4-0 record at home in nonconference play, the Colonels (9-9, 2-3 SLC) opened their Southland schedule with two wins in Thibodaux against UIW and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Hometown native Ja'Dante' Frye leads Nicholls with a home scoring average of 17 points per game on 51 percent shooting. Frye put up outstanding efforts in the two home conference games, scoring 23 and 18 points while averaging six rebounds.

The Colonels are averaging 85.7 points in the six games at Stopher and are winning by an average margin of 19.7 points. Liam Thomas, the NCAA's leader in blocked shots, is swatting away 4.5 per contest at home.

Abilene Christian brings an 8-9 overall record to Thibodaux and a 2-4 mark in league play. The Wildcats fell by six points at home to Southeastern Louisiana before winning on a buzzer-beater in their last outing against Lamar.

Sophomore Jaren Lewis paces ACU's offense with 14.2 points per game. Lewis has scored in double figures in all but one game in conference, highlighted by a 19-point effort in the opener against New Orleans.

Nicholls leads the short all-time series against ACU, 2-1, with both wins coming in Thibodaux. Last season the Colonels held off the Wildcats, 63-62, in their only meeting.
