STORYLINES
- Nicholls dropped its third straight contest and with an 89-73 loss to defending Southland Conference champion Abilene Christian on Wednesday night.
- The Colonels led ACU after the first quarter, 22-19, and by one point at the break. However, the Wildcats outscored Nicholls in the third, 25-13. The Colonels have been outscored 340-274 in the third quarter this season.
- Nicholls head coach DoBee Plaisance is three wins shy of reaching the 100-win milestone. Plaisance became the program's all-time leader in wins last season, surpassing Ben Abadie's 89.
- The matchup against Lamar features two of the top three teams in the nation in steals. Lamar posts a NCAA best 14.8 steals per game, while Nicholls is tied for second at 13.5. For the Colonels, Hope Pawlowski is 12th at 3.41 per game and Tykeria Williams is 23rd (3.06). Lamar's Chastadie Barrs leads the NCAA with 4.56 per game and Kiandra Bowers is 21st (3.06).
- Hope Pawlowski's seven steals in the matchup against ACU put the redshirt senior in second place on the Colonels' all-time steals list. Pawlowski surpassed K.K. Babin's 238 and currently has 244 for her career. Arrianna Smith holds the No. 1 spot with 289.
