- Nicholls picked up a huge win over second-place Lamar, 78-67, last Saturday at home to up its conference record to 3-4.
- The Colonels hit 11 3-pointers in the win, including six in the first quarter.

- Like Nicholls, HBU is led by a sophomore guard, Lisa Zderadicka (STARE-uh-dich-kuh), at 10.2 points per game. She is also averaging 4.2 rebounds per game and leads the team with 39 assists and 16 steals. In Southland play, Zderadicka upped her scoring average to 13.7.
- Heidi Byrd is second on the team in scoring in league games at 9.4 points.
