THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University volleyball team resumes Southland Conference play Saturday in a 1 p.m. match against McNeese State University at Stopher Gym.
The Colonels (4-20, 2-9 SLC) split their last two matches, rallying past Lamar in four sets before being swept by Stephen F. Austin.

Jade Piper and senior outside hitter
Stephanie Tobison have combined to amass seven double-doubles with four and three, respectively. Tobison tops the squad with 2.3 kills per set followed by freshman
Imanie Williams at 2.2. Senior middle hitter
Emily Weimer boasts a team-high .246 attacking percentage.
The Cowgirls (15-11, 6-5 SLC) also went 1-1 in their past two contests, topping the Cardinals and dropping a four-setter to the Ladyjacks.
Sophomore libero Angela McGownd ranks fourth in the SLC with 4.8 digs per set. Fellow sophomore middle blocker Shanna Spree has racked up 1.1 blocks per set and a .318 hitting percentage, which sits fifth and ninth, respectively, in the league.
