THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University volleyball team will conclude its regular-season slate when it travels to face Northwestern State Thursday and UCA Saturday.  

The Colonels (4-23, 2-12 SLC) fell to both teams in four sets earlier this season at Stopher Gym.

Freshman outside hitter Imanie Williams fired a career-high 20 kills against New Orleans in Nicholls' most recent match, which resulted in a five-set defeat. Junior setter Jade Piper converted her ninth double-double of the season with 47 assists and 16 digs. Senior middle blocker Sydney Lerille chipped in 10 kills on an efficient .526 attacking percentage.

Williams, Tobison and junior Brieanna Hill are the top-three attackers in league play at 2.6, 2.2 and 2.1 kills per set, respectively. Senior middle hitter Emily Weimer has contributed a team-high 33 blocks.

Northwestern State

The Lady Demons are 13-16 overall and 8-6 in conference play despite dropping three straight matches. In the Oct. 14 match against the Colonels, Reagan Rogers provided a match-high 15 kills to go along with 11 digs, lifting Northwestern State to victory.

The Lady Demons hold top-five SLC marks in aces per set (1.5 | third) and digs per set (16.9 | fourth). Rogers ranks atop the league with 4.8 points and 4.2 kills per set. Libero Channing Burleson has recorded 5.3 digs per set, also the conference's best.

UCA
Saturday, Nov. 11 | Prince Center | 12 p.m.

The Sugar Bears (23-3, 12-2) have won their past six matches. UCA is currently second in the league in hitting percentage (.261), third in assists (12.7) and kills (13.7) per set and fourth in blocks per set (2.5).

Nicholls saved six set points in the third set of the first matchup to force a fourth set, but the Colonels had trouble stopping Samantha Anderson (21 kills, .378) and Megan Nash (10 kills, .438) as they dropped the match in four.
