THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University soccer team will conclude the regular season against Southeastern Louisiana University Friday at Strawberry Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The match will be streamed by the Southland Digital Network with live stats available via SLU.  

The Colonels (3-14, 1-9 SLC) were eliminated from Southland Conference Tournament contention with their 3-2 double-overtime loss at Northwestern State Sunday. Nicholls bounced back from surrendering two goals in the first three minutes of the match, receiving scores from senior Francesca Curteis and junior Blaire Laiche in the second half before the Lady Demons scored in the 102nd minute.

Curteis fronts the squad with seven goals and 15 points. Laiche has scored a goal in two of the last three contests, being shifted up the field from left- and right-back.

The Lady Lions (6-6-4, 3-4-3) clinch a postseason spot with a win or tie. SLU is 3-1-1 at home in league play this season. Christina Cutura leads the squad with four goals and 11 points while Amber Marinero has racked up a team-high five assists.
