MOSCOW, Idaho – The Nicholls State University men's basketball team will resume its seven-game road stretch against the University of Idaho Tuesday at 9 p.m. CT inside Memorial Gym.

The Red and Gray dropped an 89-72 decision to Washington State Sunday despite a team-high 18 points from junior
Danny Garrick. Garrick drained six treys, five of which came in the second half.
Gavin Peppers added 16 points and six boards, but Nicholls (1-2) was outscored 48-10 in the paint, 36-6 on fast-break points and 30-6 off turnovers.

Jeremiah Jefferson fronts the Southland Conference with 20 points per game. Peppers has scored double figures in every contest this season and leads the Colonels with 6.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore
Kevin Johnson ranks second in the league with 6.7 assists per game, dishing out 20 assists to just eight turnovers.
Nicholls has converted at least 10 treys in every game this season, averaging a league-leading 13 per game. The Colonels have also been exceptional at the charity stripe, knocking down 76.3 percent of free throws, which sits second in the Southland.
The Vandals (0-1) fell 86-68 in a road game against UC Irvine Tuesday. Jared Rodriguez spearheaded the squad with 18 points followed by Cameron Tyson, who finished with 17 after a 14-point first half. Idaho returns zero starters from last year's unit that defeated Nicholls 79-68 in Thibodaux.
