THIBODAUX, La. – Following an 86-58 win over Mississippi College in head coach Austin Claunch's debut, the Colonels travel to ACC powerhouse Louisville for a Thursday battle on ACC Network Extra. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

This will kick off seven games in a row away from Stopher Gym. Fans can also follow the contest by listening to Voice of the Colonels Bryant Johnson on ESPN New Orleans 100.3 FM.

The Colonels (1-0) used a 51-point second half to down the Choctaws Tuesday. Nicholls shot 62 percent in the second period, including a 7-of-11 effort from beyond the arc. The team also dominated in the steals (15-4) and blocks (7-0) categories. Nicholls was fronted offensively by graduate transfers Jeremiah Jefferson (28) and Gavin Peppers (20).

This will be the Cardinals first game under head coach Chris Mack, opening the season with a new basketball coach for just the fourth time in 48 years. Louisville has won 14 straight season openers and 17 consecutive home openers.

The Cardinals were chosen to finish 11th in the ACC Preseason Poll, returning only guard V.J. King from last year's starting lineup. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
