THIBODAUX, La. – Playing four of its next five matches at home, The Nicholls State University soccer team will resume Southland Conference play Friday against Houston Baptist University and Sunday versus Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Nicholls Soccer Complex.

The Islanders (4-2-2, 1-0-1 SLC) shut out both of their SLC opponents, topping Sam Houston State 1-0 in overtime and tying Stephen F. Austin in a scoreless draw. The golden goal versus the Bearkats came off an Addison Urbanus header on a corner kick. Nicholls has never lost to A&M-Corpus Christi, winning all five matches dating back to 2013.
