THIBODAUX, La. -- After wrapping up a four-game roadtrip with a split of the weekend's matchups at the Jamaica Classic, the Nicholls State University men's basketball program (3-4, 0-0 Southland) shifts into recovery mode with a trio of non-Division I home contests over the course of the next two weeks, kicking off that stretch against Blue Mountain College (4-2, 1-1 SSAC) on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. back in the friendly confines of Stopher Gym.

Following Sunday night's offensive explosion from Dexter McClanahan (season-high 26 points), not to mention the Colonels in general (five total double-digit scorers), the Red & Gray have proven to be a formidable force when in a positive rhythm, shooting a notable 44.1 percent from the floor and 36.6 percent beyond the arc across three wins this season. And while McClanahan has been relatively consistent in all seven games thus far, the team's "spread the rock" philosophy definitively headlines box scores in victories, as five Colonels -- D'Angelo Hunter, Lorenzo McGhee, Andre Jones, Elvis Harvey Jr. & Warith Alatishe -- all "outshoot" the high-flying redshirt senior from the field.

• Austin Claunch enters his second season at the helm for the Red & Gray, and currently sports a 17-21 (7-11) overall record with the Colonels.
• The team boasts five seniors: G D'Angelo Hunter, G Tom Clement, G/F Brandon Moore Jr., G Dexter McClanahan & F Elvis Harvey Jr.
• This year's roster is highlighted by five newcomers, as redshirt senior G D'Angelo Hunter (West Virginia), redshirt junior G Andre Jones (Arkansas-Little Rock) & redshirt senior G Dexter McClanahan (Savannah State) all became eligible following transfers from fellow collegiate programs while sophomore G Lorenzo McGhee (Columbia State CC) climbed aboard via a JUCO program & freshman G Tyrease Terrell signed on directly from high school. On the bench, senior F Jaylen Fornes (UNC-Wilmington), redshirt sophomore F Najee Garvin (Charlotte), redshirt sophomore G Isaac Johnson (Western Illinois) & redshirt sophomore G Lafayette Dorsey (Pacific) will sit out due to NCAA Transfer Restrictions.
• This season's depth chart features four players from across the state of Louisiana, three from Georgia, a pair from Texas and one from each of the following: Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Minnesota & California.
• The Colonels were projected to finish 11th in the Southland Conference, per the league's preseason poll.
• Nicholls returns two of last season's five starters, including junior G Kevin Johnson & senior G/F Brandon Moore Jr.

Following a short hiatus for Thanksgiving, the Colonels will return to action on their home court once again, facing off against Campbellsville-Harrodsburg on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
