THIBODAUX, La. -- The Nicholls State University men's basketball program (6-4, 0-0 Southland) locked down the squad's fourth-consecutive victory in Wednesday night's non-conference home finale against Carver College (1-14, 0-0 NCCAA), flexing serious offensive muscle behind a 118-46 dismantling of the Cougars as the Red & Gray, once again, reset their largest margin of victory this season (74). Individually, redshirt junior Andre Jones followed up his triple-double from last week with yet another strong performance, dropping a game-high 21 points on an impressive 10-of-13 from the field.
Additionally, the team saw a pair of Colonels -- sophomore Warith Alatishe and senior Brandon Moore Jr. -- each secure a double-double on the evening, combining for 28 points and 22 rebounds on just 31 total minutes. Further, three fellow players managed to breach the double-digit plateau in the victory, including both junior Jeremiah Buford (10 points) and true freshman Tyrease Terrell (13 points), a season-first for each and a career-first for the latter.
KEY STORYLINES & STATISTICS
-- For the game, Nicholls finished shooting 54.4 percent (49-of-90) from the field -- a season-high -- along with 34.6 percent (9-of-26) beyond the arc and 84.6 percent (11-of-13) at the free throw line.
