Nicholls (2-5) came up short in its weekend trip to Florida with a pair of losses to Jacksonville University and North Florida. Although on the wrong side of the scoreboard, the Colonels had their best offensive showings on the road with 55 and 61 points. Senior Airi Hamilton paced the Red and Gray with an average of 14.5 points per game in the JU Thanksgiving Classic.

Hamilton and Adrian Mann are each averaging over 11 points on the season as Nicholls is putting up 64.6 per game. A sophomore, Mann has continued to find her stroke from behind the 3-point line with a team-best 12 of 27 from long range (.444). But as a unit, the Colonels are at 26.5 percent for the season.

Nicholls is looking to knock off LSU for the first time in school history as the Tigers have won all 13 meetings. In last year's contest, LSU used a fast start to down the Colonels, 76-44.

The Tigers are ranked No. 25 in the latest edition of the AP Poll following wins over Memphis and ranked Michigan State in the Bahamas over the weekend. LSU's lone setback was a 70-62 loss to No. 8 Florida State.
