THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will look to avenge its lone home loss in a Wednesday matchup at McNeese. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Nicholls (16-10, 10-4 SLC) is tied for third in the Southland after winning its third consecutive game last Saturday, defeating Central Arkansas, 68-52. McNeese (6-19, 4-10 SLC) has dropped its last two contests, including a 64-60 loss at home against New Orleans.
The Colonels had one of their most balanced scoring of the season last week, with five Colonels averaging double figures. Tykeria Williams was one of the five, scoring a game-high 17 points in the win over the Sugar Bears. She ranks second on the team for the season at 10.8 per game.
Senior Cassidy Barrios still leads the Southland in scoring, but only by 0.3 per game. Along with 20.0 ppg, Barrios is tops in the league in rebounding at 11.0. She also has the most double-doubles in the league with 17.
McNeese is led by Callie Maddox (13.2 ppg) and Regan Bolton (12.8). In the 69-68 win in Thibodaux, Bolton had a game-high 25 points and made 7 of 14 3-pointers.

Following Wednesday's game in Lake Charles, Nicholls will return home Saturday to host New Orleans. Tipoff in Stopher Gym is scheduled for 1 p.m.
