Colonels close out home stretch against HBU

THIBODAUX, La. -- Buoyed by a strong second half rally over Central Arkansas this past Saturday, the Nicholls State University men's basketball program (12-7, 6-2 Southland) aims to wrap up the three-game home stretch on a positive note, hosting conference foe HBU (1-14, 1-5 Southland) on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Stopher Gym, tipoff set for 7 p.m.

With the UCA come-from-behind victory as the most recent example, the Colonels continue to epitomize a "tale of two halves" type of team, falling behind in the opening period by an average of 4.5 points in league matchups before outscoring opponents by nearly 10 points across the latter 20 minutes. Individually, seniors Elvis Harvey Jr. and Dexter McClanahan have been devastating during post-break rallies, combining for 17.5 points and just about six rebounds across the eight Southland second halves this season.
