HOUSTON, Texas -- The Nicholls State University men's basketball program (18-10, 12-5 SLC) aims to bounce back from a tough weekend loss in the team's final regular season away from home, trekking west across state lines to square off against HBU (3-22, 3-13 SLC) on Wednesday evening, tipoff set 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym.
Earlier this year, the Colonels managed to get the better of the Huskies behind a 91-83 victory at Stopher Gym, a mark which still serves as the Red & Gray's best offensive performance in league play for the 2019-20 campaign. Sophomore Lorenzo McGhee set the tone with a squad-high 20 points while four other Colonels -- Warith Alatishe (16 pts), Dexter McClanahan (14 pts), Elvis Harvey Jr. (14 pts) and Kevin Johnson (12 pts) -- posted double-digit showings as well.
