BATON ROUGE, La. - The Nicholls State University men's tennis team took on SEC member LSU Sunday and came away with a 4-0 loss at the LSU Tennis Complex.

The Colonels (4-4) had competitive doubles matches but could not secure the point against LSU (10-5). Prasanna Pravi Bagade and Pavle Drobnjakovic fell in their match, 6-4, while Ricardo de Sales Chaves Machado and Omar Hussein trailed 3-2 at No. 1 when play was suspended. 

In singles play, Nicholls did not win a set against the Tigers. Machado, Salekar, and Drobnjakovic each had 6-4 losses, while Hussein and Martin-Thiriat were tied in their second sets when LSU clinched the team victory.

The men return to action at home on Wednesday, March 11 against Northern Illinois. First serve at the Colonel Tennis Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.
