ABILENE, Texas -- Following a quick one-match diversion back home, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (0-5, 0-4 SLC) returns to the early road-centric conference schedule -- four of the team's initial five Southland contests -- with a western trek across state lines to battle Abilene Christian (4-2, 3-1 SLC) and UIW (1-4, 1-2 SLC), opening the two-game stretch against the Wildcats on Thursday, Feb. 25 (6 p.m. first serve) before heading south to take on the Cardinals on Saturday, Feb. 27 (11 a.m. first serve).

- Kallie Noble remains in her second season leading the Colonels, and currently sports a 11-21 (5-13) overall record with the Red & Gray.
- The team boasts four seniors: S Meghan Wozniak, MB Lydia Frederick, OH Kate Hoerdemann and OH Olivia Turner.
- This year's roster is highlighted by four newcomers, as senior OH Olivia Turner (Northern Arizona) and junior MB Nina Finderle (Polk State) joined the program as transfers while freshmen MB Jhayla Bolden and RS Yani Johnson signed on directly from high school.
- This season's depth chart features five players from across the state of Louisiana, three out of Texas, a pair from Illinois and one from each of the following: Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri and even Croatia.
- The Colonels were projected to finish 10th in the Southland Conference, per the league's preseason poll.
- Nicholls returns five of last season's seven starters, including seniors S Meghan Wozniak and OH Kate Hoerdemann along with juniors OH Emily Gauthreaux, MB Aaliyah Burras and RS/OH Katie Jones.

After enduring four of the opening five league matchups out on the road, the Colonels come home to the friendly confines of Stopher Gym for an extended four-match stretch, initially hosting Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, Mar. 11 before battling Lamar later that weekend on Saturday, Mar. 13.
