HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team fell 6-1 in their match against Sam Houston on Sunday, February 28 at McAdams Tennis Center in Huntsville, Texas. 

Junior Morgan Forshag was the lone scorer for the Colonels, coming up victorious against Roos Gerritsen 6-2, 6-2, after Nicholls had lost its first four singles matches. 

Carla Bouygues finished her singles match last, falling short by a point in the first game 7-6, 6-3. 

The Colonels lost all three doubles matches, and their record dropped to 1-5 overall. They travel to Baton Rouge to face Southern on Wednesday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
