THIBODAUX, La. -- After enduring four of the opening five league matchups out on the road, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (0-7, 0-6 SLC) finally returns to the friendly confines of Stopher Gym later this week for a pair of key Southland contests -- the first two of a four-game home stand -- versus conference leader Stephen F. Austin (18-4, 6-0 SLC) and Lamar (1-10, 1-5 SLC), hosting the Ladyjacks on Thursday, Mar. 11 (7 p.m. first serve) before celebrating Senior Day against the Cardinals on Saturday, Mar. 13 (11 a.m. first serve).

• Kallie Noble remains in her second season leading the Colonels, and currently sports a 11-23 (5-15) overall record with the Red & Gray.
• The team boasts four seniors: S Meghan Wozniak, MB Lydia Frederick, OH Kate Hoerdemann and OH Olivia Turner.
• This year's roster is highlighted by four newcomers, as senior OH Olivia Turner (Northern Arizona) and junior MB Nina Finderle (Polk State) joined the program as transfers while freshmen MB Jhayla Bolden and RS Yani Johnson signed on directly from high school.
• This season's depth chart features five players from across the state of Louisiana, three out of Texas, a pair from Illinois and one from each of the following: Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri and even Croatia.
• The Colonels were projected to finish 10th in the Southland Conference, per the league's preseason poll.
• Nicholls returns five of last season's seven starters, including seniors S Meghan Wozniak and OH Kate Hoerdemann along with juniors OH Emily Gauthreaux, MB Aaliyah Burras and RS/OH Katie Jones.

Following the weekend matches against SFA and Lamar, the Colonels turn their attention to the team's final pair of home contests at the close of next week, battling Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday, Mar. 18 before locking swords with Sam Houston on Saturday, Mar. 20.
