FRISCO, Texas -- Just a week and a half removed from yet-another record-breaking performance in the long jump -- not to mention a gold medal -- at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships, the league office announced Nicholls State University junior
Chelsea Harrington as a member of the All-SLC first team, a first for the program under fourth-year head coach
Stefanie Slekis.
After having just reset the program long jump record at the Samford XC Invitational in mid-February, Harrington posted her best-ever mark -- indoor and outdoor -- for the event by a wide margin at the Southland Indoor Championships, vaulting a new school-best 5.91m (19-4.75) for a gold medal in her second-consecutive podium finish at the league meet.
