CONWAY, Ark. -- The Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (1-10, 1-9 SLC) looks to close out the regular season on a high note as the team hits the road for the final pair of Southland competitions at Central Arkansas (8-7, 6-4 SLC) and rival Northwestern State (2-10, 0-10 SLC), initially battling the Sugar Bears up in Conway, Ark. on Thursday, Mar. 25 (6 p.m. first serve) before closing out the 2021 spring campaign against the Lady Demons on Saturday, Mar. 27 (1 p.m. first serve).

• Kallie Noble remains in her second season leading the Colonels, and currently sports a 12-26 (6-18) overall record with the Red & Gray.
• The team boasts four seniors: S Meghan Wozniak, MB Lydia Frederick, OH Kate Hoerdemann and OH Olivia Turner.
• This year's roster is highlighted by four newcomers, as senior OH Olivia Turner (Northern Arizona) and junior MB Nina Finderle (Polk State) joined the program as transfers while freshmen MB Jhayla Bolden and RS Yani Johnson signed on directly from high school.
• This season's depth chart features five players from across the state of Louisiana, three out of Texas, a pair from Illinois and one from each of the following: Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri and even Croatia.
• The Colonels were projected to finish 10th in the Southland Conference, per the league's preseason poll.
• Nicholls returns five of last season's seven starters, including seniors S Meghan Wozniak and OH Kate Hoerdemann along with juniors OH Emily Gauthreaux, MB Aaliyah Burras and RS/OH Katie Jones.

UP NEXT
With the Colonels eliminated from a potential visit to the Southland Conference Tournament, the Red & Gray will immediately move into their "usual" offseason schedule in preparation for the fall's upcoming 2021 campaign. Notably, many members of the indoor squad will shift into a shortened beach volleyball season, as competition will kickoff soon after the conclusion of Saturday's match at Northwestern State.
