HAMMOND, La. -- The Nicholls State University women's soccer program (0-15-1, 0-10-1 SLC) faltered in the team's final contest of the 2021 spring campaign at rival Southeastern Louisiana (6-2-3, 6-2- SLC), dropping a 4-0 road decision to the Lady Lions on Friday evening at Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, La.

KEY STORYLINES & STATISTICS
-- Southeastern Louisiana posted a balanced attack throughout the contest, scoring two goals apiece in both the first and second halves while outshooting the Red & Gray behind a 21-to-3 clip, not to mention a 7-to-2 shots-on-goal margin. Coincidentally, both pairs of goals for the Lady Lions came in quick succession, as they notched scores in the 9th and 14 minutes during the opening period before collecting another back-to-back sequence in the 65th and 68th minutes later in the second half.
-- Notably, freshman Caitlin Green wrapped up her first season donning the Red & Gray with a solid offensive performance, registering two of the squad's three total shots, one of which came on goal.
-- Between the pipes, freshman Reagan Carter closed out the year with a perfect start streak (16 matches), grabbing a trio of saves while surrendering the four goals.

With the spring 2021 campaign officially concluded, the Colonels immediately shift gears into offseason mode as preparations get underway for the return to a usual fall schedule.
