LAFAYETTE, La. -- Late Tuesday morning, the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) officially announced the 2020-21 Baseball All-Louisiana teams, naming Nicholls State University junior Joe Taylor as a second-team selection on the prestigious honor roll.

The LSWA All-Louisiana teams are nominated and voted upon by the states's sports information directors along with select media personnel.

On the diamond, Taylor finished with 26 total appearances -- all in relief -- as the Red & Gray's uncontested closer, shouldering the burden of tight contests late and consistently pulling the Colonels through to victory. Statistically, the left-hander composed an impressive 0.56 ERA with 42 strikeouts across 32.1 innings out of the bullpen, tying for second in the Southland Conference with 10 saves while not allowing a single earned run in league play. Notaby, Taylor posted at least one strikeout in 21 of his 26 appearances.
