THIBODAUX, La. -- Just months removed from an unprecedented return to competition this past spring due to COVID-19 protocols, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (0-0, 0-0 SLC) initiates yet-another season out on the hardwood with a compelling weekend of play, opening up the 2021 campaign by hosting The Colonel Classic -- a three-team round-robin tournament featuring Texas Southern (0-0, 0-0 SWAC), Niagara (0-0, 0-0 MAAC) and in-state foe Southern (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) -- from Friday, Aug. 27 through Saturday, Aug. 28 at Stopher Gym in Thibodaux, La.
