LAKE CHARLES, La. -- After a narrow loss to kickoff league play just under a week ago, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball program (7-6, 0-1 SLC) aims to secure a quick turnaround in the team's first Southland away weekend of the season, initially trekking west to Lake Charles, La. for a rivalry contest against McNeese (6-6, 0-1 SLC) on Thursday, Sept. 30 (6:30 p.m. first serve) before crossing state lines to clash with Houston Baptist (10-5, 1-0 SLC) on Saturday, Oct. 2 (1 p.m. first serve) in Houston, Texas.
