THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University men's basketball team's home opener on Sunday, Nov. 13 has been canceled due to Carver College being unable to play this season. 

The Colonels new home opener is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 22 against Jarvis Christian University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nicholls will host just three nonconference games at home with Champion Christian (Nov. 29) and Rust College (Dec. 11) on the schedule. 

Southland Conference play kicks off on Dec. 15 at Stopher Gymnasium with a matchup against Southeastern.
