The game before also saw a Colonel see success at the back of the net. Junior defender
Peyton Bastine scored her first goal of the season off a free kick from nearly 50 yards out in the 5-1 loss to Lamar on Sept. 29.
UIW is 4-5-1 overall and 1-3 in league play. Their last time out saw the Cardinals snap a five match losing streak with a win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The next leg in the Colonel's road trip is at Texas A-M Corpus Christi. The Islanders are 4-5-3 overall and hold a 1-2-1 record in the conference this season. The Colonels are looking for their first win over the Islanders since 2017.
