THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's soccer team will begin year three under Robert Podeyn on Thursday, welcoming three teams to the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex for the Lester Bimah Battle on the Bayou (Aug. 17-20). 

The Colonels will host South Alabama on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. and FIU on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. On Friday, Alcorn will play FIU and on Sunday following the first match, USA will face FIU.

The Red & Gray welcome back 19 returners, including five starters, and brought in 10 freshmen and four transfers from Spokane Falls Community College.

Nicholls looks to bounce back against USA after dropping the last meeting to the Lady Jaguars, 6-0, in 2021. The Colonels will face the Panthers for the first time in program history.
