THIBODAUX, La – The Nicholls State University women's soccer program will cross state lines for the first time this season for a pair of matches in Texas. First, they will take on Tarleton, on Friday, Aug. 25 in Stephenville and then head to Abilene to battle Abilene Christian on Sunday, Aug. 27.

The Colonels are looking to bounce back from two hard fought losses in the Lester Bimah Battle on the Bayou where they were unable to score.

In the other goals, the Texans are coming in 1-0-1 after tying ULM (1-1) and defeating fellow Southland member, Texas A&M-Commerce (2-0).

The Wildcats opened their season with two shutouts for the first time in program history after blanking SLC preseason favorite Lamar (1-0) and Texas Southern (3-0).

Both matches will be available to watch via ESPN+.

After the trip to Texas, the Red & Gray (0-2) return home to begin the month if September hosting SWAC foes, Jackson State (Sept. 1) and Texas Southern (Sept. 3) at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex.
