FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University kicker Gavin Lasseigne has been named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.

Lasseigne accounted for the Colonels' only points in Saturday's matchup at TCU, kicking 40- and 47-yard field goals. The Raceland, Louisiana native finished 2-for-2 on the night and is 3-for-3 on the season. Last week, the Central Lafourche product moved into sole possession of first place on the program's all-time scoring list with 225 career points.

The honor is his third SLC weekly award, earning the distinction in each of the last two seasons.
