THIBODAUX, La - The Nicholls State University women's soccer team prepares for the first home Southland Conference game of the 2023 season versus McNeese at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24 at Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex. 

Nicholls (1-9, 0-1 SLC) are coming off their first conference game against HCU where the Colonels fell to the Huskies 0-5. The Colonels are looking for their first conference win since 2018 and their second win of the 2023 season. Last time at home, the Red & Gray beat Texas Souther 4-1 and are seeking back-to-back home wins for the first time since 2018.

The Colonels have lost the last 11 matches against the Cowgirls of McNeese, who have a 3-4-1 record for non-conference games. McNeese is scheduled to play Texas A-M Corpus Christi on Friday, Sept. 22, for their first game of conference play before traveling to Thibodaux to face the Colonels.
