THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University soccer team will make its longest trip of the season to Edinburg, Texas to battle new Southland Conference opponent UTRGV on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
After finishing non-conference action with a victory over Jackson State, the Colonels have dropped six consecutive contests and look to get back on track against the Vaqueros.
Last week, the Red & Gray lost a pair of home games to Texas A&M-Commerce and Southeastern. While UTRGV defeated UIW in San Antonio to pick up their second SLC win of the season.
The Colonels offense has been led by senior forward
Koryn Barrett who has scored four goals while
Mylea Riggle,
Peyton Bastine, and
Berkley Payne has scored one apiece. Senior goalkeeper
Megan Cook has 57 saves and three shutouts this season.
