THIBODAUX, La. -- After the longest home stand of the season, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball team will cross state lines for the final time this season to take on Lamar (Nov. 7) and Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 9).

The Colonels enter the matchup against the Cardinals 7-16 after falling in their six consecutive matches on Tuesday night. Lamar is 12-12 overall after being swept in there last two matches against UIW and UTRGV respectively.

SFA is 18-7 overall after having their three-match win streak snapped by Southeastern. The Ladyjacks will host McNeese on Thursday before hosting the Colonels. Nicholls trails the all-time series 4-22 and have never won in Nacogdoches.

The Red & Gray's balance offense is led by
Leah Linares Castro who has 259 kills, followed by
Tierney Terrell (179) and
Makila Billingsley (141). The attack is paced by setters
Evelyn Trivino Espinosa and
Ava-Claire Calais who has 339 and 313 assists.

The Colonel defense is anchored by libero
Kenley Nonato who has 331 digs, followed by Terrell (204), and Calais (141). In the middle,
Jordan Gamble is a force at the net with 65 blocks while
Khara Morton and Billingsley add 42 and 27 blocks respectively.
