THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University men's basketball team lit up the scoreboard in its 2024 home finale as the Colonels defeated SUNO, 110-66, Tuesday night in Stopher Gymnasium.
It marked the first 100-point game in regulation under second-year head coach

Sincere Malone added 23. A total of six Colonels scored in double figures with
Jamal West Jr. finishing with 14 while

Nicholls shot 53 percent from the field with 68 points in the paint. The Colonels also had a strong night at the free throw line by making 21 of 28.
Despite the lopsided final, SUNO only trailed 27-23 midway through the first half. But an 8-0 run pushed the Colonel lead into double figures and they never looked back. Nicholls led 53-30 at the half before going on to claim a fifth straight victory.
Defensively, the Colonels held SUNO to 39 percent from the field and had a 20-plus margin in rebounds.
