THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University baseball team beat Eastern Illinois 4-0 on Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray Didier Field on Saturday night.

Parker Coddou blasted a leadoff home run to right field on the Panther's second pitch of the game. His classmate
Garrett Felix also hit a solo home run to right field in the fifth inning.
The other two runs came from first baseman
Edgar Alvarez and second baseman
Erick Ordonez. Alvarez hit an RBI double in the fourth while Ordonez added an RBI single in the eighth.
For the Panthers, Trenton Pallas and Quade Peters had two hits apiece and pitcher Eli Cartwright picked up his first loss of the season.
