THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University beach volleyball team will conclude the month by crossing state lines to compete in the Beachburg Invitational, hosted by Southern Miss on March 29-30.
 
The action-packed weekend will begin on Friday and the Colonels first match will be against the Golden Eagles at 2 p.m. The Red & Gray will play Loyola and Spring Hill at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. On Saturday, Nicholls will play Mobile at 11 a.m. and end the weekend with another game against USM at 5 p.m.
 
Last week the Colonels competed in the Southland Conference Roundup in New Orleans. McKay Wilson and McKenna Malone picked up wins against UNO and HCU and are now 6-17 on the season. Tierney Terrell and Carleigh Breaux earned a win over Southeastern and are 7-16 on the season.
 
Keira Heckel and Shelby McGee enter the weekend 5-18, Brooklynn Wilkinson and Bethanie Durant are 7-17, while Kennedi Steele and Aspen Steele are 5-17 overall.
