After earning the first Southland Conference victory of the season, the Nicholls State University women's volleyball team will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi inside Stopher Gym on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
Nicholls enters the week 11-10, 1-7 SLC split their contests last week as they swept Northwestern State over the weekend.
The Red & Gray offense is run effortlessly by setter
Isabella Padilla who has 582 assists and is fourth in the SLC in assists per set (8.36). She often sets up leading attacker
Tamara Chavez who has 278 kills and six double-doubles. Chavez leads the SLC in kills per set with 4.37 and points per set with 4.77.
The Colonels' defense has five players with at least 100 digs. Libero
Karina Smith leads the way will 185 followed by defensive specialist
Ava-Claire Calais (151), Padilla (137), Chavez (127), and Oliva Besson (120).
Harper Holden leads the unit at the net with 58 blocks.
