"Hancock Whitney is honored to join with the Biloxi Shuckers in bringing the Hancock Whitney Classic to South Mississippi," Hancock Whitney Mississippi Gulf Coast President Brent Fairley said. "This exciting series spotlights some of college baseball's finest athletes at a marquee event that creates opportunities for fans to cheer their favorite teams and players while further strengthening Coastal Mississippi's vibrant economy and deep
sense of community."

Nicholls has advanced to the NCAA Regional in two of the last three seasons, including back-to-back Southland Conference Championships in 2023 and 2024. Last season the Colonels welcomed head coach Brent Haring who went 17-32 overall including an 8-5 victory over nationally ranked Sothern Miss in Biloxi.

Nicholls head coach Brent Haring is excited for his team playing on a bigger stage for more exposure.

"We are thrilled for the opportunity to play at Keesler Federal Ballpark. We would like to thank the Biloxi Shuckers and Southern Mississippi University Baseball and Coach Ostrander for the opportunity," Haring said. "Our players will relish the opportunity to play at such a beautiful facility with a great atmosphere against such a quality opponent. We are looking forward to March 17th."
