5 Colonels Named All-Southland

FRISCO, Texas - Five members of the Nicholls State University football team garnered All-Southland as the league office announced Tuesday morning its all-conference teams and superlative awards for the 2025 season.

Headlining the honorees was defensive back Ty Marsh who was named All-SLC First Team. Also on defense, linebacker Jake Dalmado, and defensive backs Ethan Lee and Laurence Sullivan Jr. were selected to the second team. Running back Miequle Brock Jr. rounded out the selections by being named second team on offense.

Marsh was part of a dynamic defensive backfield that helped Nicholls rank third in the FCS with 15 interceptions and ninth in passing yards allowed. He was third on the Colonels with 76 tackles and tied for the team lead with 7.5 tackles for loss. A one-time SLC Defensive Player of the Week, Marsh had two interceptions on the year and returned both for touchdowns.
