FRISCO, Texas – Four members of the Nicholls State University beach volleyball team were named to the 2025 Southland Conference Preseason Players to Watch List as the league announced its preseason accolades on Thursday morning.
 
For the Colonels, Addison Prine, Brooklynn Wilkinson, Tierney Terrell, and Quincy Cummard were selected to the watch list. Last season, Wilkinson and Terrell played in all 33 matches and finished the season with 12 victories apiece.
 
In addition to Thursday's announcement of the preseason watch list, the league office revealed the preseason poll with the Colonels receiving 21 votes. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Boise State received 119 total votes with nine and eight firsts place nods, respectively.  HCU was picked third with 87 votes and one first place vote followed by  San Jose State (82), SFA (77), Southeastern (66), McNeese (40), and New Orleans (37).
