THIBODAUX, La. –  After a quick road trip, the Nicholls State University women's basketball team will return home to host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 20) and UTRGV (Feb. 22).
 
Nicholls (16-9, 9-7 SLC) enters the week after splitting their last two games. The Colonels beat New Orleans (72-59) before falling to Southeastern (63-50). The Islanders (12-14, 4-11 SLC) also split games last week with a win over HCU (74-54) and a loss to UIW (63-55). UTRGV (14-13, 9-7 SLC) extended their win streak to three with victories over UIW (59-37) and HCU (58-55).
 
The Colonels have won the last two matchups with the Islanders but trail the all-time series 15-11. Earlier this season, the Colonels beat the Vaqueros in the first meeting since 1991. Nicholls leads the all-time series 6-1.
