THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will cross state lines to battle Lamar (Feb. 27) and SFA (March 1) to conclude regular season action.
Nicholls (16-11, 9-9 SLC) enters the week on a three-game skid after falling to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UTRGV. The Colonels currently sit in seventh and trail UIW and Northwestern State by a half game in the SLC standings.
Lamar (19-7, 14-3 SLC) enters the week on a four-game winning streak with all wins coming on the road after taking down UIW and HCU a week ago. SFA (24-5, 14-4 SLC) is currently on a 10-game winning streak after also beating HCU and UIW. The Ladyjacks will play at McNeese before hosting the Colonels. The Cardinals hold a half game lead over SFA for the second seed in the SLC standings.
