NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Nicholls State University beach volleyball team concluded the season with losses to UNO (0-3) and McNeese (1-3) in the 2025 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Tournament in on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The weekend was highlighted by Evelyn Trivino Espinosa and Peyton Ferree who defeated Harlee Tupper and Luciana Chuong of McNeese in three sets. The first two sets were decided by a combined four points as the Cowgirls took the first set 23-21 and the Colonels took set two 21-19 to force the winner takes all third set. In the final stanza Espinosa and Ferree outlasted their opponents 15-9 to earn the lone flight victory for the Red & Gray.
