Head coach
Stefanie Slekis gave her thoughts on upcoming Pelican Relays.
"We are excited to have our second full team meet of the season. For those who didn't travel to Austin for Texas Relays we had a great week of training and are excited to see where we are this weekend. Some of our top performers focused on relays at our first two meets so I am excited to see them in their individual events after a strong training block this past month since the Southland Conference Indoor championship."
"You will see more of our roster competing in multiple events as well. We also have a good number of the men & women competing in the 3000m; which is rarely competed outdoors. Our Javelin throwers and 200m competitors kick us off Friday and I am excited to see where we are in those events since usually the 200 is at the end of the meet. This is a great opportunity for those student-athletes to see where they are running that event fresh."
