FRISCO, Texas – Nicholls State University men's track and field junior
William Bellina has been named to the Southland Conference Men's Track & Field All-Academic team, as the league office announced on Wednesday its all 2025 academic honors.
Bellina holds a 4.00 grade point average as a Business Administration major with a Pre-Law minor. To be eligible for all-academic distinction, an athlete must hold a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
In his third season with the Colonels, Bellina posted multiple top 15 finishes in induvial competition and helped the distance relay unit post four top 10 marks. His best individual performance was his ninth-place mark in the 800m race at the Strawberry Relays. While the best mark for the 4x800 relay squad was their second-place finish at the Louisiana Classic.
The All-Academic teams are voted on by head coaches, sports information directors, and academic/compliance staff members from each Southland Conference institution. Student-athletes must possess a 3.25 cumulative GPA, have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution to qualify for All-Academic selection, and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's meets. Fifty percent of those nominated earn the honor.
