FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University football running back Miequle Brock Jr. has been named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week as the league office announced Monday morning its first weekly awards for 2025.

Brock scored both of the Colonels' touchdowns at Troy and totaled over 100 yards of offense to help Nicholls lead in the fourth quarter against the Trojans. He gave Nicholls a 10-0 lead on a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and after halftime, caught a short pass and raced 58 yards for his second TD of the night.

Brock finished the game with six receptions for 87 yards and rushed for 34 yards on seven carries. In just 11 career outings for the Colonels, his 58-yard score was his fourth touchdown of 50 yards or longer.

Nicholls will play at home for the last time until late October, hosting West Georgia on Saturday, Sept. 6. Kickoff at John L. Guidry Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m.
