FRISCO, Texas -- Nicholls State University senior setter
Isabella Padilla was named Southland Conference Setter of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Padilla had a great week passing the ball as she dished 97 assists which was the third most by a setter in the SLC. She helped the Colonels post a .270 hitting percentage which ranks first amongst the SLC.
The Medellin, Colombia native began the season with 33 assists, seven digs, and two service aces, and two kills in a five-set victory over Stonehill. Padilla registered 30 assists and eight digs in the game against Oral Roberts. She then closed the weekend with 34 assists and 10 digs to record her seventh double-double of her career in a five-set victory over Alcorn.

Nicholls (2-1) has a busy week as they play four matches on the road against Grambling, Alcorn, SUNO, and Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 2-5.
