2013-14 Season (Senior): Earned All-Southland honors for the fourth time, being named All-Southland Third Team... started all 31 games and led the Southland in minutes played for the third consecutive season, averaging 39.1 minutes... was third on the team in scoring with 10.2 points per game (322)... ranked third in the Southland Conference in steals (1.9/60) and fifth in assists (4.3/132)... reached double figures in scoring in 17 games, highlighted by a season-high 23 at South Alabama. Connected on 7 of 9 3-pointers in the victory... shot .332 from the field (108-325) and .291 from behind the arc (46-158)... made 60 of 65 free throw attempts for a .923 percentage... nearly recorded a triple-double against HBU, finishing with 12 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds... had a season-high five steals against McNeese.

2011-12 Season (Sophomore): Named second-team All-Southland and third-team All-Louisiana… earned first-team Southland All-Academic… started all 31 games, averaging a conference-high 39.3 minutes… went the distance in 21 games… was 14th in the Southland in scoring (12.8/397) and eighth in assists (3.3/102)… scored in double figures in 20 contests, with three 20-point games… scored a career-high 27 against Belhaven, including six 3-pointers… shot .361 from the field (141-391)… shot .829 at the charity stripe (34-41)… finished fifth in the conference in 3-pointer percentage (.355/81-228) and third in 3’s per game (2.6)… set the program single-season record with 81 made 3-pointers… had a 3 in all but two games... was tied for fourth on the team in rebounding (4.1/126)… grabbed a career-high nine at Lamar (Jan. 28)… ranked 10th in the Southland with 53 steals (1.7)… blocked six shots.

2010-11 Season (Freshman): Named Southland Conference and Louisiana Sports Writers Association Freshman of the Year… earned honorable mention All-SLC… started all 29 games as a true freshman… is the Colonels’ top returning scorer after averaging 12.9 points per game, which ranked 15th in the SLC… was ranked in the Top 10 in the SLC  in 3-pointers per game (3rd-2.6),  steals/game (4th-2.4), assists (8th-3.6) and assist/turnover ratio (9th-1.0)… played every minute in 27 of 29 contests… netted a season-high 22 points against Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 9)… recorded a double-double against Texas A&M-CC (Feb. 2) with 19 points and 12 assists… reached double-figures in scoring in all but nine contests, including three games with 20 or more points…  connected on 72 3-pointers, two shy of tying the previous Nicholls all-time single-season record… made at least one 3-pointer in all but two games, including five on two different occasions… averaged 3.2 rebounds… registered 71 steals and 105 assists.

At St. Michael the Archangel: Was a four-year letterwinner and a four-year starter for the Warriors… named Advocate Athlete of the Year in her senior season…  earned 4A First Team All-State, all-academic and selected district MVP as a junior and senior… guided team to 4A State Championships in 2008 and 2009… hit buzzer-beater game-winning shots in both state championship games… was named the 4A State Playoffs MVP as a junior… named first-team all-district and all-metro three times… garnered honorable mention all-state as a sophomore… in her freshman season, received honorable mention all-district.

Personal: Katelyn Marie Babin was born on Oct. 30, 1991 in Baton Rouge, La… daughter of Dianne and Blane Babin… Dianne graduated from Nicholls… has a younger brother, Jordan… majoring in accounting.
