At Pearl River Community College: Had a 6-3 record as a sophomore after appearing in 11 games with a 3.86 ERA in 53.2 innings pitched... Gave up 31 runs, 23 earned, on 63 hits with 31 strikeouts and 19 walks... Appeared in eight games as a freshman with a 4-3 record in 31.1 innings pitched... Allowed 20 runs, 14 earned, with 33 hits, 27 strikeouts and 23 walks with a 4.02 ERA.

At Petal High School: Was a two-time all-state and all-district selection at Petal High School, winning the Class 6A state championship in 2010.
