2014 Season (Junior): Made seven appearances in his first season for Nicholls… Earned a hit and scored twice in six at bats.

Prior to Nicholls:

At Meridian Community College: In his final season with the Eagles hit.291 with 15 RBI and 19 runs scored... Had 30 hits, four for doubles and one triple, in 39 games... In his first year at MCC had eight hits and four RBI.

At Calallen High School: As a senior was a first team all-district and all-state selection as the Wildcats finished as state runner-up... As junior led the state of Texas with 14 home runs which was also a school record... Finished the year as a first team all-district, all-south Texas, all-state tournament team and all-state as state runner-up.

Personal: Full name is John Tanner Vandevere, born April 15 in Jackson, Miss... Son of Howard Vandevere and Stefanie Charles... Has four siblings in Taylor Charles, Cody Woods and Reese and Palmer Vandevere... Majoring in physical therapy.
